Meet The Speaker: Matt Miles

Updated: Jan 15

Matt Miles, alongside his wife, son and daughter-in-law farm over 12,000 acres of farmland in the Arkansas Delta.

Matt began his farming journey in 1989 after earning a degree in agricultural business and gaining valuable experience working with his father. The farm produces a diverse range of crops, including soybeans, corn, rice, cotton, wheat, and double-crop soybeans, which are carefully rotated each year. Conservation practices are also implemented whenever possible to maintain the health and sustainability of the land.

In addition to farming, Matt operates several complementary businesses, including a trucking company, a land-leveling business, a semi-repair shop, and a retail fertility and agronomy business. He is also a co-owner of XtremeAg, further showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to advancing agriculture in the region.

Come see his presentation - A Farmers Conservation Journey - at the Arkansas Soil and Water Education Conference and Irrigation EXPO at the Arkansas State University Student Union on Jan. 29, 2025. You can register here.
